That was quite a flattering comment and I must add that the only way I can take it all in stride is by recognizing that have just been in leadership roles, but it is the members, volunteers, and partners that make it all possible.
Where exactly do you educate out of in the Midwest. Your writer friend seems interesting. I will have to look for the publication and give it a read.
If your current school lacks the awareness of your previous. I would recommend having the school start an eco based council and maybe look for funds and grants to establish a permaculture building, rain garden, or something of the like in doable scale. Most of my educator friends have not liked NCLB policy but I have been able to use its advantages towards project based teaching to establish such things with participating schools and districts. Pardon the grammar, tis a part of myself that should not be cloned I guess. LoL
